[EDIT]

The solution to the problem reported in this thread can be found here:
www.flexicontent.org/forum/28-templates-....html?start=20#64487

##################

A custom field that has been showing in some categories is no longer displayed.
The field in question is published and assigned to several templates.

As you see in the screenshot below, "Cover Image" is assigned to a visible position in the template.

The other fields display as expected and so did Cover Image.

I have examined the filed parameter back and forth and did not find any value clue.

Environment:
Joomla 3.6.2
FC 3.1.0-rc2

Please update to last version in github

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

(On second thoughts, I'd rather keep both threads separate; this thread deals with a missing field, whereas the other is related to specific parameter in the field).

I have updated FC to 3.2.0-dev and then cleared all caches, but to no avail.
The exact same behaviour keeps happening.

To recap_

1) the field is published and the access level is set to Public
2) the field is assigned to the template that is associated with the category view
3) the field does not display in the category view / items list

Hello

the field
- was initially showing but then it stopped showing ?
- or it never showed with this category layout (of "default" template) ?

is it "default" layout,
or is it a copy of it, that you also edited the HTML of "category_items.php" ?
