I see. I was thinking it was a way to remove the "Joomla featured" option to avoid confussion with the featured categories from flexicontent (that is the way we are using)

Hello

you can hide/ignore Joomla featured FLAG for frontend item form
-- configure in Component Settings (item form TAB),
-- and you can override for each Content Type (item form SLIDER)

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.

On the component settings, on the "Featured and markups" tab, the "Use Joomla Featured Flag" is on No, but I still see it on the Item form. On the item form tab I don´t see anything with "Featured". Neither on the type settings

Hello

the Featured Markups of FLEXIcontent currently include these (no markings for joomla featured flag, i guess we should add):

-- currently there are 3 type of content list markups:
a. Access Level Markups (your case: red lock=no access):
- free-access,
- no-access,
- need-access levels,
- obtained-access levels

b. featured categories markups

c. normal categories markups (you rarely need to enable this markup)

-- for controlling (frontend) item form please visit the item form TAB in component settings

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.

I´m probably not making myself clear. I´ll try to be precise.

On the item form view (index.php?option=com_flexicontent&task=items.edit), basic tab, under "featured categories", I have the "Featured - Joomla Featured View" selector. As I prefer using the "featured categories" instead of the "Joomla featured", I prefer to not have this button here because it´s confusing and innecesary to my editors.

To remove it I´m going to Flexicontent -> Configuration -> Item form tab, but I don´t see anyting "featured" related. I´m going to "Featured and markups" instead and put the "User Joomla featured flag" to no, but this doesn´t seem to change the item form.

I´m going then to Edit type (index.php?option=com_flexicontent&task=types.edit), but I don´t see anyting "featured" related

Probably I´m missing something

Hello

currently there is not option to turn it off

-- maybe you can use a
... {display:none!important;}

CSS rule to hide it

go to FLEXIcontent ITEM form TAB and add this CSS to the item form CSS
