ok let me re-define first the issue to avoid any confusion of the initial problem.

the issue is that I cannot edit in frontend an article which is not linked directly (or via category) with a menu item. the button "edit" with ?edit at the end of url redirecto to joomla's article instead of form editing.
BUT an article linked to an item menu, or via category, can be edited in frontend ( I tested it adding a menu item hidden related to parent category).

now, what suggest micker was that the type configuration was in allowed, which maybe was cause of issue.
I set it to "route to FC" instead of "allowed", but this did not change anything

The loop appear when type configuration is set to "redirecto to FC", and access to article is impossible. Not even speaking about editing, just access.

the only way to be able to edit in frontend any article, linked or not to menu item, is to disable the SEF, which is obviously impossible for production website.

I will send by PM credentials to dev website to test it.

comme je les déjà dis
met ton tyoe sur route to FC item view
