I applied those changes and now everything is working fine (resize and thumbnails).
One last question, when the module is calculation one thumbnail for the first time (one who was not already present in images/storie/flexicontent), it seems that is is using a value of 80x80 instead the one mentioned in the image field.
When the file was already present there no problem.
- the code makes use of the width/height parameters, even if no resizing is configured
this is related to our above discussion, but it is another / different bug
We can solve this by setting a flag inside the image resizing / selection code to indicate if resizing was done,
or even better set to object properties to indicate the actual width / height of the image, even if no resizing was done
