Possible to use groups (via optgroup) in filter display type: select drop-down was created by alphanerd

I'm in need of a structured dropdown list with option groups. Is this possible in Flexi? I need this for filter use in category view.

What I need is something like this:

<select>
<option>Region 1</option>
<optgroup label="City 1"></optgroup>
<optgroup label="City 2"></optgroup>
<optgroup label="City 3"></optgroup>
<optgroup label="City 4"></optgroup>
</option>
<option>Region 1</option>
<optgroup label="City 5"></optgroup>
<optgroup label="City 6"></optgroup>
<optgroup label="City 7"></optgroup>
<optgroup label="City 8"></optgroup>
</option>
</select>

Hello

not implemented / possible to do now (only if you made a new field type)

there are groups (group ID) in fields, meant for cascading value selection feature
- radio, radioimage, checkbox, checkboximage, select, selectmultiple

so if we add a parameter to set "group labels" for every to the above field,
this will be made possible, but now it is not implemented

Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
