I have set it up now.

I think it's a way to copy an article in another language and keep the link between them.

I have problem due to the upgrade from 1.5.6 to 2 :
I have about 150 disctinct articles in 2 languages (300 records). is it possible for them to do a link for each pair of article (french and english). I'm not ready to reenter once more 150 articles already in the site.

I have also a question : I have tried to take an already french article (main language for the site). It had the flag all language. I changed it to french.
Then I wanted to translate it.
In the article it was written : Current content item is the Original Content of the Translation Group , being translated.

When I clicked to the translate button a duplication form appeared (like the one to copy an article) but it was impossible to change the categories, and impossible to click on the button change the secondarie categories.

How can I activate those choices

thank's for help
best regards

Michel

I will change this and allow selecting secondary categories when translating.

BUT, in order to associate translations together, you go to the non-main language item and make the link to the original content item

Does this not work?

it's partially working :

I get the secondary language article (english in the present case). I click on the translation field and I get all french (main language) articles. I successfully link both articles.
that's work

what doesn't work completely:

I have 2 menu line to show all articles from one category : one with english category and one with the corresponding french category. Those menu lines are linked in the menu page.
If I am on the list of articles page I can go from one language to the other.

But if am on an article page, when I change the current language the page which is shown is the list of articles for the correspondigng category.
I would like to show the corresponding article in the corresponding language.

You can get an example : I sent you yesterday the url and the access to the site in a PM.

for the french menu :
go to 'le tresor de Betsalel'->art du quotidien->XXeme et XXIeme siecle.

for the english menu :

go to 'Bezalel's treasure'->ritual art->20th & 21st century.

In those menu you will get 2 linked articles.

It seems for me that the linked used is the one from the menu and not the one from Flexicontent.

best regards
Michel
