Public Access to Articles- SOLVED

ALSO if you are accessing through a menu item link make sure the item is published

Hi I am still having problems

I created the menu item and linked to an article - this works and the article appears

I was using AidaNews for listing the latest articles on the front page and when a link was clicked it prompted for user to login.

I disabled AidaNews and used the Joomla Latest News and the login prompt screen still appears.

I went to Plugin system - FLEXIcontent and set the 'Nobody' but this automatically changed to 'Manager' i cant set to nobody BUT This didnt solve the problem either

I HAVE installed the latest version of FLEXIcontent too!

HELP!

AND Just to add, whilst the articles are also a menu item the articles appear as they should

As soon as i change the menu item to another article the article demands a login again!

The login appears is that th unlogged user does not have access to the article/item.

The reasons he does not have access are:
1. Article/Item not in a published state
2. Article/Item start publishing date is in the future
3. Article/Item finish publishing date is in the past
4. Article access level is not set to 'Public'

For 1,2,3 open item in FLEXIcontent item manager and check

For 4, login as admin and go to standard Joomla item manager, open the article and check if the access level is set to 'Public'

This issue IS NOT solved - i cannot add get a newsfeed of the latest content to allow a click through the article in FlexiContent UNLESS it is a menu item


I need help, otherwise i am going to have to uninstall FlexiContent. My users need to create articles and the latest news feed needs to be autogenerated on the front page for people to click through to the article

could this be a php issue
