I have setup my website so the content is added from the front end, and files can be uploaded by a registered user etc.

BUT

InN FC
The Public cannot view the articles, and a login screen appears.
The Items ~ Access = Public
Types ~ Access = Public
Categories ~ Access = Public
Fields ~ Access = Public

In Joomla Core
Section Manager ~ Access Level = Public
Category Manager ~ Access Level = Public
Articles in Article Manager ~ Access Level = Public

I am using AiDaNews2 to display latest news in the right column and from an article which accessed from the Main Menu - All articles are appearing correctly in the displays BUT when I click on any link to the articles the Login screen appears

I have this running on another site and works perfectly but i can see why the articles cannot be viewed by the Public

Any help gratefully appreciated

THX

Hello, what version of joomla are you using?
an what version FLEXIcontent?

If FLEXIcontent for joomla 1.7, then some bugs have been fixed recently, please download FC v2.0 beta4 for Joomla 1.7

mmm, i would rather people tested with latest version before me looking at a bug, but i don't remember such a bug was fixed.

Have you made changes to the model code (i don't mean plugins) ?

If you use FLEXIaccess, please CHECK permissions for both item and category

Can you test with latest v1.5.6 beta2 r922 ?
code.google.com/p/flexicontent/downloads/list

Please backup first.
Normally you should be able to reinstall the older version if needed.
But if you have hacked the code, you would better backup.

Regards

1. Go to the system plugin:
System - FLEXIcontent

2. And temporarily set all 3 options to redirect to "Nobody"

3. Make a menu link to a com_content article? better with an article you know that has problem

4. Go to frontend and click it, does the problem occurs?

-- Also do more tests while you have set these options of the "System - FLEXIcontent" plugin.
Like with links to Joomla categories and then clicking to articles.

-- You think it could be related to some system plugin you have installed (or was installed with some component) ?

Don't forget to restore the parameters in the "System - FLEXIcontent" plugin.

Regards
