Hi,

i'd like to know if there is any possibility to search using range values.

FlexiContent being so powerful and easy to use to build any type of website, the limitation i'm facing is for advanced search.

I'm looking to see if i can use flexiContent for my client who needs a real estate website.
The only limitation i can see is for the search module/function where i obviously need to allow to search by range such as:
- search price between X and Y value
- search the number of room between X and Y value
...

any thought on that?

thanks

This is not currently supported, and a lot of our efforts go into finishing Flexicontent 1.5.6 for J1.5 and 2.0 for J1.6/1.7.

I will add it a feature request. But i don't think it will be implemented in time for your current project.

Also we plan to support displaying any Flexicontent field in the search Results.

Regards

thanks both of you for your quick reply.

I'll wait to see how the project is not rushing yet at all. And i would rather see V2.0 out.
I'm actually looking forward to the flexicontent 2.0 running on J1.6 and J1.7.

But i still think enhancement on the search would be a major asset.
Since flexicontent is so flexible to build almost anything you want with it, the search function should be as flexible with a "flexisearch" module !!!!

thanks again for this great extensions guys. Really nice work.

LOL, i spoke too soon.
I got a second request for a real estate site where i would need such feature.
I'll try to push them both as much as possible hoping we'll see this search feature soon enough.

Cheers
