Custom template params not saved? was created by lomuyeh

Hi
I followed the step to create a template call "news1" for Universal Module.

So now there are these files and folder in /template/mytemplate/html/mod_flexicontent/ :
news1/
news1.php
news1.xml

Basically, these files are copied from original "news" template. The backend shows the parameters of "news1" template in TAB "Layout:mytemplate:news1", just like choosing "news" template.

But after I saved it, the parameters are not saved. I checked the database for the field value, I found that just "custom" value saved(like without the xml file), not the parameters showed in the TAB.

Anything I missed?

Hello

currently you can only override php file inside the Joomla template folder but not the XML file

here is what to do:
- create the new template inside:
modules/mod_flexicontent/tmpl/...

it will not be touched when you upgrade FLEXIcontent
