Solved : Carousel option

a new JS jQuery scroller is almost done for the carousel template of the universal module and maybe included in v2.2.0

Hello,
Joomla version : 3.2
FC version : RC V1895

I'm using the horizontal Carousel. I display 10 records in the module.
I use the scroll option. On my screen I get the bar with 3 group.

I don't succeed to display the different page. I expect to get 3 groups scrolling then fixing during a few seconds and then scrolling to next group.

i see the carousel working as desingned (just i think your may want to disable autoplay and use a small scroll duration)

about how many items fit:

- in horizontal carousel layout:

you have an option to set the width of the items, did you try using this parameter ?

I found the origin of the problem.
I have not found the navigation autoplay interval
which is separate with the transition effect time display.

I have put a larger value to autoplay interval and a lower value for transition effect.

Now it's OK

1. i have added a warning message to the carousel.php about autoplay interval should not be smaller than scroll/fade/etc duration



2. about new carousel template it uses a 100% jQuery-based scroller, developed specifically for FLEXIcontent (fcxSlide.js) this will in future be usable in image/gallery field too:


a jQuery scroller written almost from scratch (easing functions by George McGinley, see License below)
with advanced responsive design and complex walk calculation for items, item handles and page handles

- jQuery based

- Dynamic size (width) calculation for both items and pages

- Horizontal responsive behaviour (that detects container width change)

- Supports
a. item handles
b. page handles (Pagination support !)
c. action handles

- Walk either items OR pages or both (!)

- Walking methods (for both items and pages) based on jQuery effects:
a. scroll
b. fade
c. slide
d. fade-slide

- jQuery EASING support for all (?) WALK methods

- Handle transition of already visible items intuitively (move them instead of sliding or fading them)

- Walk carousel ONLY IF needed (if target item or page not already within view-port), otherwise just "activate" next/previous item

- TODO for fcxSlide.js:

add other effects via extrnal jQuery plugin, e.g. "explode"/etc

make 2 small modifications: slideshow vertical and slideshow horizontal, these are already possible, but the new templates will give more options and will make easier to configure a slideshow
