I guess we need this.. :)

Once user remove image without saving item, the image is gone.

So we need
1. Restore Image button.
2. Display File Size and File Type once(place outside of ul class=fcfield-sortables)
3. Hide Existing Image Selection if I set Existing Reusable Image List Limit to 0.

Hello,
this exists in other fields too,
-- so if were were to implement this ... we could as well do it for all fields that use sortables, this is not a priority, the user will have to click cancel and not save changes ...

I don't think this is needed since current solution is better: we have a toggle button that hides the complete image selection box ...
further more moving it out will cause it to be NOT visible when you have many images ! since it will be placed before all images

Can you explain the usefulness of this ?

you want to prevent user from changing image after initial selection of item (aka set image only on submission) ??

Sorry, don't get it. What I am saying is..
if I click remove button for image, the image is removed even if I didn't click save button.

In my site images are very important field and authors will upload many different images for each item(5 to 10 images).

Reusing images will make authors more complicate coz the existing image list shows its name only(Let's say there are more than 100 images without thumbnails, naming images will be the troublesome for authors) and also it's rare to use images from re-usable image list because of their unique products.

I will soon add a screenshot of simple image field that I am thinking of.

Hello,
strange

1. the image selection box is by default 'hidden' and you need to click "Toggle image selector" to show.

The above is true when an image is already selected.

2. Also strange that an image is removed without saving the field, this happens when you use "folder mode" in which case the image is immediately deleted but this does not happen in "DB Reusable Mode"

3. You can set a higher limit for converting the name of DB reusable mode into thumbnails, e.g. set a limit of 2000, (yes there is a parameter for this)

I will need:
some images to see what you describe OR / AND also access to the site to view what you describe ...

and yes access to the site will speed things up, i mean i can review things ... just give an item item to edit to see the configuration being used

I din't realize that there is very small botton without any text.
<label class="fcfield-button" for="custom_field20_0_change"></label>

It's my mistake, It is working great, sorry for that.

I didn't realize this feature as well.
I will have a look into it.
Thank you.
