I am surprised no one has requested this yet.

An author view pretty much just like k2's would be great. Allow you to post a small pic and bio of the author and then click to see all of there articles that they have posted. Almost like a mini profile. would be great to integrate with alpha points so you can see what "awards" he has received from alpha points but this could also just be done with a module.

I think the idea here, would be AWESOME if in the template we could have an AUTHOR template and we could customize the same way, of regular one. That would be crazy.

Not only that but also improve the Related article field and we could use it like this, MORE ARTICLES fro m the SAME AUTHOR. For professional Blogs this is handy.

Yes an author view is needed. I 'll put on Bug Tracker this

About linking to other author items, this will be very useful but it should be automatic we cannot manually update this for every option.

I think one way to do it is to create a link to same category and set the filter by author ...

I will examine solutions

Regards

Ok, as i said an author view will be useful and powerful.

Right now you have 2 options, these are not always as convenient and as powerful as having a separate author view, e.g. when wanting to create link to the "author" view

1. Since Flexicontent uses the standard joomla tables to store items and categories, you can use any joomla AUTHOR extension to display items from the author. This will allow you to display list of fields title and description only.
See the extensions here:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... ay/authors

2. As micker said you can place a mod_flexcontent module e.g. Just after component position of your joomla template and set it to display from a specific author. Also i will add a new option to the drop down select box of the Author scope called "current item's author".

Again the author view would be more powerful.

About now, i am thinking of adding support to the category to link to an author items.

And of course about a new view too, late for v1.5.6 though.

Regards
