Import fails

I did also test on my life site. I installed master zip. Same result as on my local host.
Maybe I am wrong. Imho it is not random failure.
I guess system checks if to be imported data is different from database. If data is the same then no update in database. That might be the why the second to be changed record becomes a failure.

I did new test with only new items. Same results. Every second record fails. 2 records are changed, second recnrd gives an error after change.
After the 8 new test records form import file are imported and inport is restarted the message is given "IMPORT already FINISHED. Please RESET import process".  So it might not be that data in database is checked against new data. The importfile is still open and pointer is set at new to be imported record.

After testing new items I changed values in textfield in importfile like the values in the database. Import again gave the same kind of results as before. So this underscores my opinion that importfile is still open and pointer is set at new to be imported record. Somewhere between the update in the database and closing the record in the databasethe process fails.

could send me a site backup + export file for testing ?

Take your time. There is no hurry. I  cab go on with collecting data from archive sites and prepare in spreadsheet for later upload. Regards Henk
