OK...tried with JCE...same results. Do I need to change a setting within JCE config?

issue fixed in r1853

the issue is happening even if you use a textarea without a JS HTML editor

you may try

thanks for reporting this,

and taking time to test our suggestions,

we need to ask questions before we confirming that something is a bug/issue, most issues reported in the forum are not real bugs/issues
or
are issues of new features, for new features we have more reasons to suspect a real issue
