Hi guys,

I have a question for you please. I use FlexiContent 3.2.1.13 version.

I need to understand how the search function works, I would like to improve this.

For instance, when I search the name "freezes", I can find one article.
When I search "freeze" there is no article found.

How can I configure this ?

Thank you!
Michaël

Hello

you need to use word combination of any or all
if you use "exact" then "freezes" will not be matched

also v3.2.1.14 will have proper ordering by relevance so that most relevant results will appear first
(especially for title)

- configured ordering will be used if using filtering (e.g. most recent)
- if using text search search (with / without filtering) then title relevance ordering will always be applied and then configured ordering ...

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.

However, I'm not sure to fully understand.

What we need is : when the customer search "freeze", he has to find articles that contain the word "freezes".

Do you know what I mean ?

Thank you!

Hello

if you choose word combination
- all
- any

and especially
- Phrase
- Phrase (relevants)

you should get results containing the word that you searched for and words that are prefixed by it

can you make the "words combination" visible in search form and testing with the above suggested options ?

Hi,

Thank you for your answer.

It does not work correctly.
When I search "freeze" the first time, there is no result. Then, I search "freeze" again and there are 3 results. I do not understand why. And if I change my search from "any words" to "all words" (and vice versa), I have 5 results.

Can you please help me ? If you want I can share my screen, or the access to the page.

Thank you!
Michaël

Hello

recently fixed issue with default match being ignored (will be in v3.2.1.14)
so i think that is why it does not work for you

probably on first search the search works with "exact"

do you have a testing copy of the website ?
can you test with a version that i will give you ?
