[RESAVE item that have deleted/non-existing access levels] Items Cannot be viewed by Public

Hi - I seem to have a unique problem in delhi.hotkhana.com. The site was created by using akeeba backup of bangalore.hotkhana.com.
However, when clicking on the link in category view, it gives the message. "Please login first". If you click on this link www.delhi.hotkhana.com/restaurants/nagarjuna-reddy-c.html the problem can be observed.

What is even more confusing is that it doesn't happen for all the items. For example, www.delhi.hotkhana.com/restaurants/poonam-pawar.html link opens for a public user. The users who created these articles are different but belong to the same user group.

I have checked the Access Levels of the articles, category and type. All of them are set to "Pubic". Can you help please.

Hello

yes, also note this:

if you have a menu item that is "public" access
- but it is under any "Registered" access (going up to the root of the menu tree)
- and it is under "AccessAAA"

the menu item will need the visitor to have all 3 access levels:
AccessAAA, Registered and public

so also check the menu items,

- Similar thing applies for language, if menu item is "ALL" but is under some menu item language "FR" then it will not be available when frontend language is e.g. "English"

Hi George - That cannot be the case as all the items are in the same category under the same menu. Notice that some items open and some don't.

Hello

the item had a non-existing VIEW level

- but the drop down select in item view or in item form

does not warn you about this,
and just shows the first available option which is "Public"

thus the item is no longer viewable

Saving the item again fixed the issue
- e.g. create an access level "Level2" and then give it to an item

then delete the access level "level2" then item keeps the old level but items manager shows it as public but it is not
- it is UX issue to add a better display and warn the user, will do it

- please re-save any item or category that have this issue
