Hello,

is there any settings to asign item view under category view (still linked to defaulf view i think so).

I found in the forum that before7 years it was possible only to override category_item.php
flexicontent.org/forum/28-templates-and-...o-category-view.html

Please confirm , that it is only this way. Before i try to do it with my , low skills :-D

THANK YOU

i think its ok

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello

you do not need to do this
you can use category layout of "presentation" template (or copies of it)
to get the same field positions in category view

so please first try the above

Hello,

this i already have 2 category layout templates (with item templates), now every category layout are linked to default items template.

But i need:
Category layout A linked to Item layout A (now default set to A)
Category layout B linked to Item layout B

Best regards

Hello

i think i remember / understand you now

you want the items of the category A to use some specific item layout ?

currently the items inherit layout from type configuration, (or you can set a specific layout via item form, but you will need to do this for every item)

- the way to do what you need is to edit 2 template file
category_items.php
category_items_html5.php

and in every item link append (usually this is just 1 or 2 item loops in the file, so you need to change 1 or 2 places)
&ilayout=someFcTtemplateName

Hello,

thank you , it was:
?ilayout=someFcTtemplateName

Now i will have to find how to have field voting:
A template : read only
B template : anable voting
I will try it via CSS , probably via class "fcvote_list" or "voting-links"

Thank you !
