Hello

So now you have used
1. thumbnail size parameters of 'category' layout (of blog / blog-copied templates)
to select a precreated thumbnail size (e.g. small or medium)

2. And also now thumbnail size recreation for small, medium, etc is working

so i am marking this as solved

Yes, now images resize works fine. It's solved.
I just have no option to change size in category view.
I not use blog / blog-copied templates.
I use modified default template.
It not contains any settings with image size for items list.

Hello

i am even thinking of removing the custom size setting from blog template (category layout) and module settings

it is not performance wise as sometimes the on-the-fly caching of phpThumb is not performance is not so good in some servers

Better configure the small / medium thumbs properly

e.g, use "small" in modules and "medium" or "small" in category views
