I have the same problem and was just wondering if it's ok to bind the 52 articles to the 100 it shows. Apologies I don't know what will happen if I click this and don't wan to lose data.

Binding has never caused problems with data loss it updates a FLEXIcontent specific table, but it is good practice to backup your site regularly and when making major changes
Also NOTE:
- if you ever uninstall FLEXIcontent only FLEXIcontent extended data (fields) will be lost,
- after installing you should take a few steps to shape the display of your content:
