Beginner - trying to get basics figured out for new article

So I went through all the permissions and set everything to ALLOWED to rule that problem out...still no luck.

I changed the front end template and that didnt help either but I did see a new message...

you have a universal content module that is set to use current item data,

-- but current view is item form and the item is not created yet, this is not checked and module causes this error

I have fixed it and i will include fix in FLEXIcontent core



but it seems that jQuery loading is broken in your site , you are using Google pagespeed in your site maybe test without it

I am not sure what loads the Jquery or how you knew it was broken but as far as I can tell it is all working now...I did go ahead and disable that page speed optimize thing though since now I remember that in the past I had a problem with a script because of that..and it was a real headache to figure out.
