Text search ONLY in category

Hello,

I want find item in a category and I use text search with "use auto-complete: simple ".
But suggested words come from the entire site and not of the category.
And sometimes with keyword suggestions, "there is not item in this category".

I want the suggested words come only from category. How to do that ?

Je veux trouver les items d'une catégorie et une seule grace à l'option "recherche de texte de la catégorie" avec l'option suggestion automatique.
Mais il y a un problème, car visiblement les mots suggérés viennent du site entier et non de la catégorie seulement.
Ce qui fait que souvent lorsque l'on sélectionne un mot suggéré, il n'y a pas de résultat.
D'où ma question: comment faire pour ne limiter la suggestion qu'à la catégorie seulement ? Est ce d'ailleurs possible ?

yes, exactly the autocomplete uses current language and user's ACCESS levels

and we also tried to add current category, but there was a problem with the AJAX query not setting properly the variable with the category id

and it was supposed to be done before v2.1.2 but it was not done

we consider this important, (we hope) to add this for v2.1.3

But I see an other problem.
Normally search minimum length is 4. But if I put for example: les , la , l , et , de , col there isn't error and some items appear -> strange with a single character there is no error and items appear

If I put dd there is message: Words ignored (too short, minimum length: 4): dd -> OK

Also how is interpreted simple quote in search, because for example I want find word d'col ?

I use combination: any words or all words

this is fixed in r1847+

so please install v2.1.3 r1857 BETA
(it should be stable apart from a new behavior 'ignore year' in Unversal module)


e.g. if you search for word:

bo

then the words 'book' and 'bookcase'

will be found



about limiting word search to current category, will be fixed in v2.1.3 final
