yes i have seen it. It is useful.
It will be use as a search page. But I could be useful in a menu link.

Another question about the flter :
Is it possible to apply (hidden) filter in the seach menu link?
Example : i would show a searchform (the search page menu link) with the filter in want (in the menulink configuration) but i want that the search will apply only on some items (31##29%%).

Hello, persistent filter are not available for searcg view. And no features will be added until J3.x support is finished
