Hello there,
I've got two "open_basedir restriction in effect" errors when I open my Universal modules:

Warning: is_dir(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/modules/mod_flexicontent/tmpl) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home2/myaccount/:/opt/cpanel/ea-php74/root/usr:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp:/etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.crt:/var/cpanel/php/sessions:/usr/local/bin/wp) in /home2/myaccount/public_html/administrator/components/com_flexicontent/elements/fclayout.php on line 120

File(/modules/mod_flexicontent/tmpl) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home2/myaccount/:/opt/cpanel/ea-php74/root/usr:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp:/etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.crt:/var/cpanel/php/sessions:/usr/local/bin/wp) in /home2/myaccount/public_html/administrator/components/com_flexicontent/controllers/templates.raw.php on line 283

I've tried searching the forum, but I couldn't find any solutions.
I'm using latest Flexicontent version (4.0.2) on latest Joomla (3.10.6).

Please let me know what I should do to fix the error.
Thanks!

hello
at first open_basedir problem can be a server configuration problem check you php configuration
second : a warning isn't realy a problem, in production serveur it normaly hidden => set error reporting to defaut in your joomla configuration error will be hidden

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hi Micker,

Thanks for your reply.

I know errors can be hidden, but I'd rather solve them, if at all possible.

The current php version is 7.4. What should I check in my php configuration specifically?

Thanks!

Hello

flexicontent will load the XML parameters files of module layouts via AJAX
if the folders contents cannot be read / listed you will get this warning

in your server configuration under "PHP settings" there should be a way setting "open_basedir"
