default.php, select.php and news.php are easy to override because they are in the tmpl forder under modules/mod_flexicontent
I am copying these files under html/mod_flexicontent/ of my template folder.

But I have a problem, i need to override mod_flexicontent.php that is calling default.php. mod_flexicontent.php is not present under tmpl but it is at the same level as the folder "tmpl" --> how to do?

same for module.css, it is not possible to just override it?

hello no override module
juste copy and modifie your file (go to faq a tuto is here)
for css put your css inside your template.css directly

I am using the module to create a kind of menu so I am interested to display only a selection of categories.

I was able to manage that so it is ok.

But now I have an other problem:
The order of categories is not corresponding to the default order.

I am doing the same thing www.muenstermann.com/en/overview/references.html and do not use overrides. Category ordering using the module is not possible before 2.0.1. With 2.0.1 an ordering option has been introduced: flexicontent.org/forum/index.php ... =viewtopic
