Ignore cache for a new custom field

Hello,

We have developed a custom field plugin and want it to not use the cache system but to be regenerated every time the item/category_item has to display it.

Is it possible and if so, how ?

which cache do you mean ?

you mean you have turned on Joomla View caching:
Conservative / Progressive

or you mean some "other" caching ?

Yes, i mean the standard joomla caching. We have Conservative caching turned on. Currently in order to view the change in the field i need to clear the flexicontent directory under the standard joomla cache directory.

now I see that also the page cache system plugin is enabled on our environment

if you disable both
- Joomla view caching : Conservative / Progressive cache
- and also the page cache system plugin

then field should be created on every page load

otherwise it is normal and intended behaviour
- that component HTML is cached (Conservative / Progressive cache)
- that full page is cached (page cache system plugin)
