Front End Insert Items

Hello,
I'm really interested in the front end insert.
is there already a trunk or alpha realease?

I've been lookin into the source and seen the function
* _initItem line 165
* store line 323
on the file administrator/component/com_flexicontent/models/item.php

also the

administrator/component/com_flexicontent/views/item/tmpl/default.php


Is there a way I wan help you with this or the opposite,
could you give me some info on this part so i can follow my lead on building it?
