geolocation - maps

Hi!

I'll like to do a map to locate differents items (plants in my website)
At end I want to do a historic of items in the time.
I want select a date and it show differents items in the map, or select a category of item and it show all items of this category in the map.

I see geocode factory from myjoom to do the map, but I am not sure if this is the best or how I can filter by date.

Can you suggest a solution?

for now flexicontent can't display a map with all point in same categorie
extensions.netassopro.com/extensions/plugins/fleximap can do it but not flexicontent 3 compatible (you can ask to dev)
