Delete item / Article from front end

Now that there is front end edit / submit it only makes natural sense that we should also be able to delete from the front end also.

I would like to be able to build all types of directories, listings etc but without a front end delete fascility it means the user needs to log in via the back end to perform those types of actions.

Perhaps the user can be set to 'special' as administrator to do this from the front end rather than just registered.
