Hello,
do you have an update to this error?
We have the same problem and are still not able to remove tags from an article.
This is a big problem on our site.
Do you have a bugfix for that?

beta can correct this, but no date for a stable release
if you realy need to do a copy install master/beta test and deploy
(for now beta doesn't have any ilportant bug)

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
