Hello is there any way to compress images so they use less resourses?

if you use image field all image used are compressed see the image field option
and you can optimize image via phpthumb for blog template

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello

1. use JPG original images

in image-gallery field configuration

2. Set lower resolution for your thumbnails (down to your acceptable point)
3. Set lower quality (down to your acceptable point)

Hello

also we have a bug (the image-gallery field is not effected)

JPG images in some views are thumbnailed as PNG which increases the size
most notably this happens for
- category images
- legacy tags / favourites views
- blog template using custom size thumbnail (try to use a fixed thumbnail of image field "small" or "medium")

this is fixed in next release
