I've resolved the image display issue, but I cannot seem to figure out why the price field displays as "0" on the category display. However, the price displays the correct value on the item display.
i think you use custom template and you need to update your code

if the field (text/integer/float type)
shows in item view correctly then i suspect something in the category layout
i mean that the category layout is doing some manipulation

Also a question:
in the category layout of category view you are using Javascript to hide all extra images
why not hide them in field configuration ?
