Empty field display in category for custom template after upgrade from v2.2.1 to v3.2.0

1 year 4 months ago - 1 year 3 months ago #68671 by 3by400inc
This is our FlexiContent item listings display before the upgrade:
justfrancesales.com/index.php/properties...5B%5D=8&arr%5B%5D=16

And this is after:
jfs.3by400.com/index.php/properties/buy-...5B%5D=8&arr%5B%5D=16

The image display is broken and where a price once was showing, now all listings show "0".

I've resolved the image display issue, but I cannot seem to figure out why the price field displays as "0" on the category display. However, the price displays the correct value on the item display.

i think you use custom template and you need to update your code

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello

if the field (text/integer/float type)
shows in item view correctly then i suspect something in the category layout
i mean that the category layout is doing some manipulation

You can send me super admin access with a PM (Private message, click on my image) and i will look

Also a question:
in the category layout of category view you are using Javascript to hide all extra images
why not hide them in field configuration ?

did you make this custom category layout ?

Hello

i will spend some time on it today
i thinks this time will be enough to find what the problem is in your custom template

Hello

it turns out that this was actually a bug
if getFieldDisplay()
is called twice for same item and field (and for same display method)
then in the second time it would return empty

i have made a fix
fix is in test site and will be in new version:
github.com/FLEXIcontent/flexicontent-cck...ive/3.2.x-stable.zip
