it makes sense to have this, e.g. if replacing a link or migrating from an previous platform

short term issue:

Yes, you are right.
Main reason is edit this option after migrating on FC.
I'm going to migrate from JDownloads to FC, but unfortunately FC does not have import tool from 3rd party components.
I trying to understand how I will do it.
