How to simplify the addition of images ?

I tried to simplify the addition of images.
I disabled maximum options and it seems now adding of images enough simply.
But this process has an extra step.
Explain.

Now, to add images user should press on button



Then appears popup window and user should press one more button



Only after those 2 steps image ready



How to skip second step?

User should just choose image on first step - that's all! No any popups.

Better yet, add the ability to drag and drop images directly into this area.

1 drag and drop inside item form => use plusupload or other script
2 auto assign image => if we drag 5 images = 5 values in field
