On the back end...
In "default" template
"category layout"
It shows the field placement as:
"Title" "userdefined" "Description"

On the front end...
The category layout shows:
"Item Title" "Title" "userdefined" "Description"

I want to remove "Title" but not "Item Title"

any ideas???

Hello

you mean
when using the "category" layout of the default template (which is a table)
- you get the title to display twice (in 2 columns) ?

The title appears twice in the list...
The "item title" is linked - desired
The "title" also appears in the list - not linked - not desired

How do I remove one of these?

Thank you.

Here's a screen shot of the front end...

Here's a screen shot of the back end...

When I tried to remove it (drag it back to core fields area) - I got a huge error on the front end

Hello

- if you remove other fields then do you get the error,
- if you add it back the error is gone ?

what do you mean with "huge" error, do you mean a "fatal" / "terminal" error, then is there an error text ?

I was using the default template.

When I duplicated the default template, there were zero fields in the Category listing / Table Listing / Field Placement. That is the "Title" was not there.

So not wanting to figure out why it wouldn't remove the "Title", I just used the copied default template.

Now it works fine with a duplicated template.

Thanks for your time.
