Display of filter 'created_by' > use easyprofile-user-field

hi there,

I display a category page with filters, and one of my filters shows a dropdown with usernames ('created_by'). So far, so good.

[Problem]
I use the extension 'easyprofile', and I need to display their custom field 'company_name' in the filter 'created_by' instead of the usernames.

[Question]
Where can I attack?

(and if having many joomla users, you will also need to do some caching to avoid recalculating the "company_name" all the time)

For simplicity (i thought ) i took the following, different approach, and my problem has changed a little:

On my category page with the filters, the relevant filter gives "FLEXI_FIELD_ITEM_SPECIFIC_AS_FILTERABLE" instead of a dropdown. I don't know, what that vocabulary means.

you are using item specific replacements, the filter can not be calculated

Great, that worked. Though I mainly used the onBeforeSave...() method to simply fill the field, and have it filtered the regular way.
