Hello,
a user have updated the file field in an item.
Google has indexed file (old and new one). The old one is still in his index.

The file is still in the server so we can access it with url.

How can i delete the old file url in the google index?

Delete the file in flexicontent/file is a solution. The only one?

Regards

Hello

- if the access level of the file is changed to "special" only logged super admins (or users with special access level) will be able to download the file
and google will get 403 on next re-index
(user himself can change access level , files list popup, inside item form)

- if you delete the file in filemanager then google will get 404 (not found) on next re-index

Relevant:
I think we can/should enable file deletion in files list popup, inside item form

Ok i anderstand. thanks
I will delete it.

It is not very usefull. A user creates an item, he modifies the item, i receive a mail.
I need to verify if he change his file field and delete it (or change access).

Hello

new feature, added in v3.0.9 and fixed in v3.0.10 is that:
image-gallery field (in DB-mode) has an (optional) parameter to auto-delete (clean) deselected images on item save

(* implemented for folder mode but not enabled, but now i think it is possibly useful there too)

-It is almost identical for file field and for minigallery since both use "filemanager"
will add same parameter to both, to auto-delete -deselected- files on item save (if no other "supported" field uses the file)

this will be optionally enabled, but will make it to be by default ON

Hello

also if the administrator turns OFF the auto-cleanup there should be a delete button in the "My files" popup in item form
