Creation of empty values in DB for fields in a fieldgroup

Behavior I’ve noticed in v3.0 beta5 with fieldgroups. When a new item is saved, rows are created in the database for the fields in the fieldgroup even if they have no content. I have a migration script which pulls data by row id, so it carries over empty data. I wonder if there's a way around that on the Flexicontent end, suppressing the creation of empty rows. Is it a bug? Is it something that was fixed in the production release?

Hello

- it is very much possible to avoid fix/patch code to avoid these,
- and after doing the above it is also possible to clean existing empty values from DB

it needs implementation

Aha. Was mainly wondering if I was missing something. I'll start looking around to see if I can sort out a fix.

Thanks
