Hi, I'm using FC v3 BETA5a and latest Falang version in Joomla 3.4.1.

  1. Is it possible to translate the Category details inside the Category Form, just as is done within the Item Form?
  2. Is it also possible to translate the custom fields of the Items?
Thank you.

www.flexicontent.org/en/downloads/extens...ntent-j2-5-j3-x.html
www.faboba.com/composants/falang/extensi...em/flexicontent.html
just need to do some test with fc3 beta
test and post your return
regards

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Well, before I posted, I had already read the exact same pages you mentioned, installed the exact files you listed and also performed the tests you asked.

So, both my questions remain: ;)
  1. Is it possible to translate the Category details inside the Category Form, just as is done within the Item Form?
  2. Is it also possible to translate the custom fields of the Items?
If not possible, can you please at least develop a solution for the first question?
It would also be nice to maintain some of the functionalities Falang offers with the native Articles and Category listings, such as the display of the flags with an indication if the translation has already been done, as well as a direct link to it.

I now know better FC and believe that neither Categories nor custom fields can be easily translated via Falang tabs.

So, I would rate this with moderate priority, as it would make things easier for end users because they would only need to use the frontend for most of the site editing.

The other functionalities that Falang offers and were described in the last sentence of my previous reply would also be most welcome.
