In JCE Editor - you have the option of having profiles:
www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/docu...s/300-profiles-about

So - would it be possible when selecting HTML editor - you have the option of selecting a profile?

My reasoning is that for some fields we just want a basic editor:
strong / italic / etc - rather than a full-on editor.

Hello

there is a "$config" array passed to the
created editor object

1. this is different for every editor
2. some editor may allow to select a profile via it
-- JCE does not allow this
-- JCE can configure display per component and usergroup
but if you change this it will effect ALL textareas in the item form

maybe solution is to install 2 or more editor
- and we add parameter for selecting a specific editor in description field an in textarea

this way we can achieve different display in description field and in textarea

Thanks - for the fast answer.

That could work as there is:
imperavi.com/redactor/

Joomla Plugin:
extensions.joomla.org/extension/redactorjs-editor

which looks nice.

Hi,

Thanks for this improvement.
However, i'd like something more.
Could we imagine to have one more field to select a JCE profile when JCE is selected in the 1st field ?
I'd like to use different profile with different editor options (font-size, color, etc.) for different flexicontent types. And i think this could help.

Thanks for all your work,

Jerem
