Idea: Possibility to share templates

Hi!

Just wanted to share this idea. Sometimes you have different types with different fields associated. What can you do now?

- Have two different templates, with the fields assigned on differents positions.
-- Problem: You have to maintain different templates, even when they are equal and only differ on the assigned fields

- Have one template, where all the fields are assigned where they belong.
-- Problem: Maybe you want different positions for the same field in different types. Or maybe you don´t want to clutter one template assignation with lots of fields

Proposal:
- Separate the template files from the template assignation. Maybe something like a third button on the templates as "create linked template", that it´s implemented like a link on the filesystem. Not sure if this is not server dependant.

Unless otherwise indicated:
Joomla 3.8.1
Flexicontent 3.2.1.7

Hello

- multiple configuration per template, is already open as enhancement issue in our Bug Tracker

... and this work has already started

... plus multiple apperances per field ... when you drag a field into template you will be able to specify (optionally) an alternative display ...

e.g. gallery##elastic , gallery##multibox, etc ...

and other ... which i don't want to mention and raise expactations
