You can modify the tags page with a layout override.
How did you want to change it?

Filtersets are in the roadmap.
But I have no idea of when or for which release this is planned.

Thought about that one, actually
Tag as a replacement for type.
Gonna check how it deal with a real world scenario.

I can already foresee an obstacle.
If I chose a tag view, it will list all items from all categories. Will still be tied to one single condition, the tag.

If there's a way to sort items with tag K by category, that would be a step forwards.

I tried a new blog template, but I probably did not put enough time in it to get it running as I wanted

Quite some time has past and I still didn't manage to come up with a failsafe solution to represent not only multiple category views but also multiple criteria views.

For instance, it should be possible to show a in the same view items of type A, belonging to categories Y and Z and tagged after B or K.

In other words, cross referencing taxonomic criteria.

This is a must if we need to show only certain item types assigned to a given category in a structured manner.
