New field(act as Button) to unpublish/change unpublish date

Hello,

In my site, users can create a content page for thier each product to sell or rent.
When it is sold/rent, users have to access edit form to change its status.

What I want is:
A button(e.g. SOLD OUT) should appear on top of articles(Like Print button, Edit button) if logged in user is the author of it.
So authors can simply click a button in front end(without accessing edit form) to unpublish it or change unpublish date(this change should work automatically by adding days parameter for each TYPE in backend, display article for 7days with "SOLD OUT" message)
There should be warning popup to proceed this as well.

Or is there any other better approach?

you would want to mark it as "sold out" with a new field ? or you would want to change it's publication state?

About changing publication state you can via the quick state changer -icon-, (it is displayed like the edit icon)

I want those items not to become unpublished right away. Articles should be published and will be unpublished within specified days instead.
How can I do this? Maybe create a new FC field(button) that can change article's unpublish date..
