Image field - assign images

Hey FlexiFriends,

I'm trying to switch my website content to flexicontent but I'm running into a few issues with the image field. The main reason is timesaving. We have more than one autor and I want to avoid that every image must be manually edited, rezized, uploaded and positioned at the right place. I dont want autors to screw the whole site design with too big images etc.

I don't know how to implement existing images with that kind of field.

1. I could upload every image again but that's timeconsuming, the google image index won't like it because filenames change

2. I tried to import existing data from my webserver in the "files" menu. It worked well but it's kind of useless at the moment because I can't assign importet images to an article nor can I select importet images in the image-field dropdown. <- Bug or Feature Request? The only way to access the imported images is through a download field, but I want to display them.

So at this moment I can only use the standard method to insert images to an article. Will there be some kind of image management at some point? Or did I oversee something? It would be great just to select the corresponding image in that dropdown-box of the image field.

I was hoping this issue was fixed the new 1.5.2 stable. I've tested it but still no luck. Thats why I'm bumping this thread.
