Textfield - inputting numbers only

Yes, some Joomla components mask the inputs so the user knows what they are doing. For securty and cleaned database we should validate in the server 2.

I had planned to make the number and currency field, I didnt have the time yet.

This seams simple but is not. We need the same validation in jquery and in php also, in case of currency where the symbol is located, also in currency I wanted to do the Excahnge via cookie.

My suggestion is to have all maks to start and improve the server validaiotn with time.

Having input masks would be fantastic!

Yes this is best, than having only some validation types, that only validate at the end of input,

-- masks will show progress as user input data
-- plus they can allow custom input masks easily for end-users (non-developers)

I think to add meiomask for masking input of text field, later it will follow for other, since it seems trivial to add, just i am thinking if it is best choice?

When creating my Field Comparison with Other CCKs table,
I found other text and numeric fields using different JavaScript "input mask" scripts.
Meio.Mask was one found, but being based on MooTools seems to be a negative as Joomla 3.x is moving to jQuery.

I found a couple jQuery-based scripts as options:
