Please consider a scope by Field.

The problem:
1 - category: Cars
2 - category: Bikes
3 - field ImageSlideShow
4 - module that show's all item from categories: Cars and Bikes
5 - The prblem is that if the user does not fill the field ImageSlideShow the module will show a blank space :/

With this trick we can for example create a field Checkbox call FEATURED and show in a module all items from the site that have the FIELD: FEATURED CHECKED

What are we doing right now:
6 - create another category called slideshow and the user has to set this category as secondary.

The problem is that the routing will link to:
component/flexicontent/slideshow-21/mercedes-234
we want:
cars-20/merceder-234

So you want to skip items that have this field empty?
If so why not use the skip items ability if FLEXIcontent module?
