[IMPLEMENTED] Templates need language files

In the template folder there need to be a language folder where one can place additional language files used by the templates.

Currently I extend the template options in backend, so I have to write not language constants, but directly English into the template xml.

interesting idea

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Do you mean joomla override function? Or what file?
I'd like to copy a template and to add some language strings only for it. The best and the easiest way is to add a language folder in the template and to automatically load files from the folder when editing the template positions or a category or an item type in BE - the places, where the template settings are used. This should be 5 lines of code, I think.

Now I just hardcode english text when I add a parameter to a template copy.

Putting code to load language specific files of current user language from an e.g "lang" subfolder inside the template folder is quite easy

e.g
blog/language/en-GB/en-GB.ini
blog/language/fr-FR/fr-FR.ini
blog/language/de-DE/de-DE.ini
blog/language/ru-RU/ru-RU.ini

and has been suggested before to place it inside item.php, but we can put a single code inside the view.html.php of category and items view to cover all templates, the presence of these files can be detected and loaded

is that what you suggest?
