Hello,
sometime we create a CATEGORY as the major container of all data, but that category is not use to display content in the front end, please consider a feature LOCK a category so the users cannot add content to that category.

What you think?

Yes, i see, but can you not limit the categories your users can add content by using FLEXIaccess?

Disallow "submit content" for the category and then for every child category click to enable "submit content"

Yes, that is how we are doing it,
but I really wanted to be a STRUCTURE decisions, and not a PERMISSION decision, if this makes any sense.
