[1.5.3c] catchable fatal error

This error has been reported by french-speaking user at:

Catchable fatal error: Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string in /administrator/components/com_flexicontent/models/filemanager.php on line 185

Running:
Joomla 1.5.20
PHP 5.3.2
MySQL 5.0.51

Wondering if this happens because of an incompatibility with PHP 5.3

I am using PHP 5.3.1 here locally and have seen no such issues.
